Registered Nurse (RN-CN1 ONA) Operating Room-NoviceUC Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room-Novice Cohort at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.Have you always wanted to join the Operating room? If you are a new graduate or an experienced RN without prior operating room experience, the novice program is for you! The Novice Program is a 6-months program designed to prepare registered nurses for their new role in the Operating Room. During this time, registered nurses will complete orientations, classroom work, simulations, and begin working with preceptors through the different service lines rotations. Service lines include: ortho, plastics, burns, podiatry, ENT, neuro, eye, oral, transplant, vascular, GI, robotics, GYN, thoracic, trauma, and general surgery. The Registered Nurse (RN) is an individual who holds a current state license to practice nursing. The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The care is culturally based and age-specific.
