　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　About this unit:

　　The teamwork in our 23-bed department is excellent.

　　Our shared governance council in the ED and the involvement of our staff in the shared governance in the hospital allow our nurses to truly impact the decisions that are made in the department and the overall hospital.

　　Because we are an accredited chest pain center, a comprehensive stroke center, and a level one trauma center we see some of the most complex patients that allow for an incredible learning environment for any nurse.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

　　Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

　　Registered Nurse Missouri Licensure or Compact

　　Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

　　Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

　　Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

This includes women's services offering obstetrics and fertility, an emergency room, and a trauma center. We offer a Stroke Center, a walk-in clinic, and orthopedics across three Kansas City locations. Our specialty care areas include a Chest Pain Center, Level I Trauma Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs, and Primary Stroke Center.
