About the Registered Nurse
Upperline Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with pre, post and operating room experience for our ambulatory surgery center (ASC) located in Roswell, Georgia. The RN's primary role will be as a circulating operating room nurse provide nursing care in an outpatient procedural setting to our patients. Additionally, they may be asked to function as the Pre-operative and the PACU nurse when needed. The RN must be able to manage the overall operating room as to ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Responsibilities will be varied, and candidates should be a multitalented, flexible problem solver who are eager to tackle complex problems and tasks. The successful candidate must demonstrate compassion for patients, have great attention to detail, communicate well with team members and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse
Educate patients on any pre-operative instructions leading up to the procedure
Ensure the patient’s paperwork is completed and signed
Interview and assess the patient on the day of the procedure
Ensure that the patient is comfortable throughout their pre, post and intra-operative experience
Manage the operating procedure room as to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
Assist physician and team as needed
Communicate discharge orders an instruct the patient and patient’s family on post-procedure care
Qualifications of the Registered Nurse
Degree from an accredited nursing program
2+ years' Operating Room experience is required
Minimum of one year Pre-op experience is highly preferred
PACU / recovery room experience preferred
ACLS certification is required
