Job Summary:Has principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of each assigned patient. Plans, provides, and documents cares and teaching rendered. Assures a plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel. Meets departmental nursing care standards using evidenced based practice and quality metrics; meets appropriate hospital standards through cost containment and utilization/quality mechanisms. Observes HIPAA standards and regulations.
Qualifications/Reporting:
Required minimum education:Graduate of a Professional Nursing School.
Required minimum experience:Prior experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Required skills (if applicable):Effective oral and written communication skills. Basic EKG, current BLS required.
Required license/certification:Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
Required:Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (within 6 months of hire.)```{=html}
