About Registered Nurse - Mental Health

  Regions Hospital has a great opportunity to join our nursing team as a RN in Mental Health to work with an incredible team of people who have a passion for caring for others! This mental health unit has 20 private rooms/bathrooms (some handicapped accessible), separate dining and day room space, a spacious group room, a comfort room, and open areas for visiting and relaxing. In addition, patients have access to a large activity room and a secured outdoor space. This unit provides care to patients 18 years and older that are experiencing an acute mental health illness of moderate to severe acuity. We also care for patients undergoing in-patient electro-convulsive therapy (ECT). In addition, patients may have medical/surgical conditions that are being treated and require intervention. At Regions, we believe that mental health is as important to overall well-being as physical health. We are working to remove the stigma that surrounds mental illness so everyone can get the treatment they need. Regions Hospital is a leader in mental health. We are the largest provider of inpatient mental health services in the east metro. We treat all mental illnesses in adults at our state-of-the-art facility which means we can provide comprehensive, personalized care for all our patient's needs, no matter how complex. Work Schedule: 0.70 Nights. Every other weekend rotation. All 8 hour shifts. Required Qualifications: *Degree in Nursing *Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota *CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications: *BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire *One year of acute care RN experience is preferred Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement. Benefits take effect first day of employment. We offer an on-site employee fitness center, an on-site physical therapy clinic for employees as well as on-site employee clinic to make it more convenient for our staff to get the care they need. We also have a Center for Employee Resilience that provides support and evidence-based practices to bring relief and build resiliency.
