JOB REQUIREMENTS: We Are Hiring:Registered Nurse (RN) - 5 Medical - 0.9FTE (PMs) The Medical Unit (5MED) at WMH is a fast paced, 53 bed unitserving a variety of patient populations. The staff here provide carefor patients with a diagnosis of Sepsis, Acute/Chronic Respiratoryconditions, including but not limited to: Trachs/Vents, Cellulitis,Urinary Tract infections, chronic conditions such as COPD, HeartFailure, Diabetes, patients on Dialysis, and acute drug and alcoholwithdrawal. Our staff are also well prepared to care for medicalpatients with mental health conditions and those patients with Dementia.There are approximately 120 staff on the unit, including: RN\'s (tenuredand new), CNA\'s, Nurse Interns, Health Unit Coordinators, StaffDevelopment Specialist, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Charge Nurse,Assistant Manager, and Manager to provide full support to the staff.Schedule Details:8 hour PM shifts from 3PM - 11:30PM. Must be able towork every other weekend and a holiday grouping rotation. What You WillDo: The Clinical Nurseis a competent practitioner who integratestheoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patientsand families. Care is delivered using a deliberate, systematic approachand practice is guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patientresponses in recurrent situations. These nurses demonstrate a mastery ofmost technical skills and begin to view clinical situations from apatient and family focus as they provide professional nursing carewithin clinical areas/ campuses as required by staffing matrices. Thesenurses also supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensuratewith educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the personsupervised.
