$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our outpatient Endocrine Care Center. WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week
Monday-Friday only
Anticipated work schedule is 8:30am-5:00pm DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Endocrine Care Center offers comprehensive treatment, education, and support services for our patients. Common conditions treated at our clinic include:
Thyroid and adrenal pathology
Osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, and calcium disorders
Male and female reproductive endocrinology, including polycystic ovary syndromeWe are also proud to run a top-ranked endocrine tumor removal program and are the only clinic in the Greater Seattle Area to provide radiofrequency ablation for thyroid nodules.We are a close-knit clinic with 15 providers and 10 support staff. This position will be the only full time RN on the team. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides endocrine-focused nursing care in person, via phone, and via telehealth
Responds to patient calls and eCare messages on a daily basis
Educates patients, their families, and their caregivers
Manages prescriptions and assists with insurance appeals for specialty medications
Handles the care coordination and continuity of care process
Administers specialty medications, including intramuscular injections
Supports providers during minimally invasive procedures REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of ambulatory clinic or medical-surgical nursing experience
Active BLS
