  Shift: 7:00am to 7:30pm

  GENERAL SUMMARY

  Unit Overview:

  The 6thfloor is a 48-bed Medical Surgical Unit. The nurses on this unit are multi-faceted and able to support patients through many phases of care. These patients are often being treated for various diseases, conditions and injuries which can include post-surgical patients, patients with acute infectious diseases receiving intravenous antibiotic treatment, those with chronic conditions that are experiencing an exacerbation. We also provide care and comfort to patients requiring end of life support. One thing that makes our floor unique is that new nurses and seasoned nurses can join our team and gain knowledge and skills that will help them to adapt easily to change—a skill that is sure to help advance them in other positions on our unit or give them the experience to advance and thrive in other areas. Our staff is friendly, welcoming and supportive. We are a family and will always welcome new members to our team!

  EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  · Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

  · Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
