JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE : Under thedirection of the Director of Primary Care, Medical Director or leadclinical staff provides nursing support and clinical services to allareas of the organization, assesses patient health problems and needs,develops and implements plans, and maintains medical records. Advisepatients and staff on health education, disease prevention and diseasemanagement. Provide training and quality assurance for the staff.Performs all duties in accordance with agency policies and procedures.**This position is eligible for Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Otherduties may be assigned. Assist in the Development and implementation onthe protocol(s) for meeting OSHA requirements. Provide required trainingfor all new employees and semi-annual refreshers for all employees.Provide public health screening and monitoring to include, but notlimited to TB, flu, etc. Coordinate paperwork and staff response for all911 emergency personnel calls. Perform health assessments as indicatedor prescribed by the doctor, including recording patient\'s medicalinformation, weight, vital signs, etc. Triage patients in the clinicwaiting room and upon referral as needed, to determine appropriateaccess to care, developing a preliminary medical and social assessment.Provide quality assurance through random and standardized checking ofmedication administration forms and cassettes. Provide backup coverageto Clinic and CSP nurses as needed. This may include: Providingmedication injections to Clinic and CSP patients. Drawing up insulinsyringes for patient self-administration. Setting up and removingmedications from the med cassettes for patient use or disposal. Crosstraining for clinical activities for both behavioral and primary healthcare. Assist in the assessment and Case Management activities of thePNCC/CCC Programs and external referrals. Assist with developing andproviding health education to PNCC/CCC clients. Participate in child andadult immunization programs as directed. Instruct employees and clientson topics such as health education, disease management and diseaseprevention. Complete special projects as assigned. Complete and maintainall required paperwork, records, documents, etc. Follow and comply withall safety and work rules and regulations.
