As a full-service transportation team, we have the diverse capabilities and proven know-how to design solutions that meet today's needs and tomorrow's demands.We are seeking candidates to fill the position of mid-level roadway design engineer in our Cleveland, OH office.MID-LEVEL ROADWAY ENGINEER MAJOR DUTIES:* Perform engineering design tasks for transportation projects from preliminary to final design.* Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.* Establish working relationships and contact with client technical staff and project manager especially in ODOT, local government and private clients.* Provide engineering design services for traditional design-bid-build projects and design-build transportation projects.* Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design and constructions plans.* Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers.* Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost, and scheduling performance.* Actively participate and serve in positions with transportation related organizations such as ACEC, ASHE, ASCE, DBIA, etc.MID-LEVEL ROADWAY ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.* P.E. license registered in the state of Ohio is required.* Experience working with ODOT required.* MicroStation, GEOPAK or OpenRoads software experience preferred.LJB offers competitive compensation packages, which includes paid time off, a 401(k)/profit sharing plan, tuition reimbursement, flexibility, and mobility.
