　　Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications for Open Competitive Appointment: Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; AND three years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience. One year of this experience must have been primarily working in the development, implementation, or administration of an infection control program.Substitution: 1. A bachelor’s degree in nursing may substitute for one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.2. A master’s degree in nursing may substitute for two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.3. Possession of a current Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certificate issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology may substitute for the one year of infection control program experience.
