Registered Dental Assistant (Full Time)

　　JOB SUMMARY:

　　Responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and dental hygienist(s) in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients of ETCHSI. The Dental Assistant is also responsible for sterilization, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies. Performs various direct patient care activities, sterile treatments, assigned duties and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal safety and comfort for dental patients.

　　KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

　　Assists patients in resolving minor difficulties, answering their questions and giving directions to patients as authorized by a dentist or a dental hygienist.Serves as dentists chair-side assistant.Prepares dental operatories for patient treatments (room and equipment setup/breakdown).Exposes and develops dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations.Maintain inventory and adequate operatory supplies and compiles a list of items for ordering purposes.Sterilizes reusable dental instruments in accordance with Dental Department protocol.EDUCATION:

　　High School Diploma or EquivalentRegistered Dental Assistant with Radiology CertificationEXPERIENCE:
