As the Regional Terminal Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for a portfolio of five terminals in Florida. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ranging from cost reduction to service level initiatives, and lead expansion projects (CAPEX) to support the growth and success of our terminals.
Terminal Operations Management:
Provide leadership and direction to Terminal Managers at each facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant terminal operations.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of each terminal, identifying opportunities for improvement and standardization of processes.
Collaborate with Terminal Managers to address operational challenges and implement best practices.
Assure that the maintenance program is running and properly managed.
Continuous Improvement:
Develop and execute a regional continuous improvement strategy to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety.
Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving, encouraging employees to contribute to process enhancements.
Facilitate cross-terminal knowledge sharing and benchmarking.
KPI Management:
Establish and monitor KPIs for each terminal, tracking key performance metrics related to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Analyze KPI data to identify trends and areas requiring attention, and work with Terminal Managers to develop action plans.
Regularly report on regional performance to senior management.
Expansion Projects CAPEX:
Lead and manage CAPEX projects for terminal expansion, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements in the region.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure successful project planning, execution, and completion.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
Budget Management:
Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage the regional budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with the Sales Team, Transportation Team and other stakeholders in the region, including partners like Rail Road Companies.
Address customer concerns and inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
Strong background in safety and compliance.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
Proficiency in KPI management, data analysis, and reporting.
Experience in managing CAPEX projects and regional budgets.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on the needs of the region.
