Professional (+) (Fixed Term)Time Type:Full timePosition Term:12 MonthPosition Details:Summary of Duties:The Regional Manager & Data Analyst is responsible for managing OVP GEAR UP Evergreen School District sites and data analysis for all OVP grant programs. Responsibilities include supervision of site managers; Lead training and onboarding, and managing personnel issues. Conducting data analysis including developing reports, addressing gaps and. Oversees the development and maintenance of information, reporting systems, participates in the overall administrative management of program functions. The Regional Manager will act as the administrative contact on complex and confidential issues in the areas of: programming, interpretation of Department of Education and WSU policies, procedures and compliance, student or personnel related issues/concerns, data information and guidance, and represent the University and GEAR UP program to internal and external constituents. Analyze data in the main database for gaps, areas needing improvement and preparing data visualization reports. Serve as the main person for sending, receiving, and collecting feedback. Promote and support learning experience of GEAR UP students and staff by providing surveys and preparing analysis of data.Under the oversight of the Program Director, the Regional Manager is responsible for providing oversight of programming operations and resources, data analysis and processes, establishes and implements short and long range regional goals and objectives. The position requires a high degree of professionalism, and exercises independent judgment in interpreting and applying key policies, procedures, and compliance.This position is housed on the WSU Tri-Cities campus, with a work location in Vancouver, WA. Travel to Tri-Cities for leadership team meetings, a minimum of once a month will be required.Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.• Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in 6-12 programs related to the functional managerial area which has included at least four (4) years of supervisory experience.• Demonstrated experience with data surveys, data collection, data analysis and feedback; data analysis software and databases, and processes.• Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams of people on new initiatives and through complex programming.• Demonstrated experience in developing, coordinating, and implementing student success programming for middle and high school students.• Experience working with a diverse group of students such as first-generation students and low-income students.• Experience developing strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, students, parents and external constituencies.• Written and verbal communication including experience with large group presentations/training.• Proficiency in the use of computers and google suite, MS Office Software, Outlook PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Preferred Qualifications:• Master's degree in a relevant field.• Background similar to target population and/or previous experience working with individuals to target student population is preferred.• Familiarity with organization and operation of secondary school/district administration and university/community college systems.
