  THE ROLE

  This position provides you the opportunity to continue building a robust loss prevention and safety program, engaging a culture of safety throughout the organization by educating and influencing leaders to enhance safety and loss prevention as part of the normal course of business. The individual in this role assists the Vice President of Risk Management in identifying, developing, and implementing companywide safety and loss prevention strategies, programs and practices to mitigate risk, reduce the frequency and severity of injuries to guests, employees, third parties and assure compliance with applicable safety regulations. You will act as a coach, trainer, mentor, and enforcer to support the risk management program at Legends.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  Strategically develop multi-year goals for loss prevention and safety,

  Assistance in developing and maintaining business continuity and crisis management plans,

  Identify, develop, and implement improved loss prevention and safety measurements with risk management team,

  Conduct internal reviews that have a focus on loss prevention, personal safety, and food safety, and help the team to effectively execute against company standards and requirements,

  Investigate internal and external theft and fraud and conduct applicable interviews,

  Train and assist others (managers, regional leaders, etc.) to complete their risk management responsibilities, and act as a liaison and professional resource to operations management for risk loss prevention, and safety related matters,

  Perform trainings to large and small groups with varying levels of expertise and experience.

  QUALIFICATIONS

  To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  Passion for safety,

  Calm demeanor in emergency situations,

  Ability to communicate compliance requirements to all levels of the organization,

  Able to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues, and

  Previous work experience in a fast-paced, solutions-oriented retail or food/beverage organization

  Minimum of 5 years of experience in loss prevention,

  Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a safety or criminal justice related field; a combination of education and job experience will be considered,

  Ability to analyze accident data and new processes for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses,

  Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  Must be flexible to work weekends and/or evenings as necessary.

  Travel required (40 % or more, primarily domestic regional travel).

  Shrink and/or business continuity experience a plus

  Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding OSHA, DOT, and Workers’ Compensation.

  Bilingual in English/Spanish

  OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  Demonstrated strategic leadership experience on highly visible business initiatives.

  Capable of delivering results through a position of influence.

  Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships internal and external business partners.

  Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.

  COMPENSATION

  Competitive salary, $100,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.

  WORKING CONDITIONS

  Location: Remote

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and stoop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
