The Regional Estimator is an integral part of the low-voltage, data centerand specialty divisionsconstruction process and ensures competitiveness, profitability, andgrowth. The Regional Estimator isresponsible for cost estimates for various projects. The Regional Estimatorwill support sales indeveloping cost estimates for the installation of structured cabling projectsand the construction of missioncritical data centers. Estimations will include all the necessary materials,labor, and engineering costsrequired to deliver a profitable job which meets or exceeds customerrequirements. This position alsocoordinates sales to project management transition activities.Core Duties & Responsibilities:Safety is E2's number one Core safe work practices and company and clientworksite policies.Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture.Prepare complete cost estimates for projects.Understand and monitor program of work to ensure estimates are completed priorto deadlines.Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation.Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency.Participate in estimate review process with internal and externalstakeholders.Assist construction personnel throughout the project life cycle in trackingand understanding basisof cost estimate.Assist in the preparation and submission of change orders.Follow-up at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimatingprocess.Conducts detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications for mediumto large hard bid/ lump sum projects to determine overall projectrequirements.Takes ownership of medium to large size estimates or a component of largerestimates and isaccountable for that specific work scope.Completes final cost estimate, adding all labor, equipment, materialdata, pricing documentation,overhead, and profit margins, and produces a final bid submission.Identifies associated risk factors, including monitoring of publishedaddenda that may alteroriginal project scope.Completes full quantity take-off of all labor, equipment, and materials.Captures and understands trade scopes and communicates gaps / missinginformation.Coordinates and works with sales development and project management team tocreate site logistics, schedule, and execution plan.Reviews current material and construction equipment pricing and ensures thatbid validity and price escalation are addressed and meet project's needs.Assists or leads in preparing final bid documents for submission to client tomeet contract deadline requirements.Primarily support estimating efforts within local market.Work as backup as needed for other markets.Maintain data in E2 systems.Reads and understand blueprints.Experience:Minimum ofthree(3) years' experience estimating large scale newcommercial constructionprojects including mission critical data centers and structure cable projectspreferred.Structured Cabling/Low Voltage industry experi nce required.Bluebeam experience preferred.Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.Eductation:High School Diploma or GED required.RCDD is preferredKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).Must have the proven ability to design, engineer, estimate and develop awritten and graphicrepresentation of the company's proposed solutions utilizing the softwareresources provided bythe company.Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.Impeccable problem-solving skills.Demonstrated detail orientation.Demonstrated and effective communication and interpersonal skills.Strong ability to work in teams and foster confidence in all.Solid estimating skills and understanding of conceptual estimating skillset.Ability to independently develop accurate, detailed, complete estimates.WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment forthis position is an indoors business office and construction environment.Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing forextended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usuallymoderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee isregularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel,bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to
