About Regional Director - Aon Global Risk Consulting, Asia

  We are hiring a Regional Director to lead our Global Risk Consulting (AGRC) team in Asia and will bear responsibility for leading, developing and expanding risk engineering/consulting capability/capacity and revenue/margin across Asia.

  What the day will look like

  Leading both technical and relationship fulfilment for designated clients

  Delivering a suite of risk advisory services across the complete spectrum of client alternatives, from underwriting surveys and insurance market reports to enterprise risk analyses

  Developing and delivering training seminars/workshops, technical support, and advice to clients, to Aon colleagues and to the business community at large

  Working closely with a range of Aon colleagues to support the placement of client insurance programmes, including:

  Broking

  Client Analytics

  Captive management etc.

  Building and maintaining contact with the London and international energy insurance community to:

  Promote existing products/services, and

  Originate new/alternative approaches

  Identifying & evaluating potential project risks, at all phases of the project lifecycle, and proposing technical solutions

  Collaborating closely with other engineers, both in-region and globally, to devise industry-leading technical procedures for the sector

  Offering an internal point of reference for the engineering aspects of industry/business transition to a low carbon economy

  How this opportunity is different

  As Regional Director for Asia, you will join the AGRC APAC management team and bear responsibility for:

  Growing the AGRC profile (internally and externally), client portfolio penetration rates across all business lines and revenue year-on-year

  Building, nurturing, maintaining and converting an accurate pipeline of AGRC Asia Opportunities and Leads

  Motivating team members with a work environment, both virtual and actual, which encourages them to grow their technical capabilities, their personal contribution and their long term careers at Aon

  Collaborating with the Broking, Client Services, Dedicated Sales and broader teams across Asia

  Working with Asia Country Heads, and their in-country technical colleagues, to realise a coherent “floor-to-ceiling” risk engineering regime for APAC, and for Aon ’s multinational clients

  Skills and experience that will lead to success

  Significant experience working in the sector for a technical consultancy or an asset operator.

  Chartered Engineer, or equivalent, status and membership of a recognised engineering association

  A track record of completing projects, delivering reports etc. on time, in full, in specification

  Good interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation

  Superior analytical, numerical and presentational skills

  Willingness to undertake material business travel, both regional and intercontinental, throughout the working year
