  Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)

  Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours (Exempt)

  Starting Wage DOE: Commensurate with experience

  Assists in the advancement of the mission and vision of Billings Clinic by supporting processes and services to strengthen the rural medical delivery system. Supports the success and credibility of Billings Clinic Regional Services through delivery of innovative, quality, and cost-efficient programs that support a more integrated healthcare delivery system.

  Essential Job Functions

  Primary Job Functions

  • Lead and support MSA Deliverables of:

  • Nursing Services

  • Supporting orientation, onboarding, and coaching of leaders in nursing, quality, infection prevention and others as assigned

  • Consultant support of nursing/clinical needs of regional sites

  Education

  • Oversight of regional educational offerings, coordination and tracking of regional educational opportunities.

  • Team Lead for regional education outreach efforts, educational needs assessments and planning.

  • Development and presentation of educational topics

  • Primary Liaison with Billings Clinic Educators

  • Regulatory Consulting and Survey Readiness

  • Consultative support of regulatory and survey readiness (i.e., DNV, CMS, OSHA, Magnet, etc.)

  • Leading selected mock surveys, developing reports and action plans

  • Survey support (on site and/or remote

  • Corrective action plan support and monitoring for compliance

  Quality and Patient Safety

  • General knowledge of Quality Initiatives and Process Improvement Processes to monitor compliance with regulatory standards

  • General knowledge of Patient Safety Initiatives to monitor compliance with regulatory standards

  Population Health

  • Outreach, needs assessment, and support of regional affiliate population health deliverables including but not limited to post-acute care coordination and Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH)

  • Facilitating and coordinating education and training needs to support successful population health initiatives (i.e swing beds, wound care, respiratory care, etc.).

  • Liaison with Billings Clinic Care Coordination, Patient Flow Teams, and IBH Teams

  Affinity Groups

  • Leading and supporting assigned Affinity Groups

  • Coordinating Affinity Group topics to align with strategic goals

  • Identifying “hot topics” for awareness, education, and discussion

  • Secondary Job Functions:

  • Assisting in activities to support Quality and Patient Safety strategic initiatives based on needs using evidence-based practice.

  • Assisting in the development of policies and procedures, and competencies

  • Supporting clinical education, training, and competencies related to “hot topics” and new healthcare issues (i.e. Pandemic, infection prevention, nursing home/long term care, etc.)

  General responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordination/facilitation of assigned operational and clinical activities

  • Developing collaborative relationships with regional teams, affiliate leadership, and Billings Clinic teams to support assigned MSA deliverables and strategic goals

  • Developing and maintaining connections with regional site nursing/clinical teams through on-site visits, remote platforms, and various communication methods

  • Mentoring and coaching regional nursing/clinical leaders and/or teams

  • Timely logging and tracking of regional activities demonstrating successful contributions to MSA deliverables

  • Timely reports provided to regional leadership and regional affiliates as assigned 

  • Performs the functions of establishing priorities and developing work plans, orientation/training, and coaching. Responsible for adhering to established human resource management policies and procedures.

  • Influences an environment of professional growth and development by encouraging regional site participation in education and training opportunities, process improvements, and other opportunities for improvement.

  • Participates in both short- and long-term planning for departmental and regional goals. 

  • Attends meetings as assigned

  • Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental, and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance.

  • Acts as a resource for physicians, other health care providers, patients/residents, and families.

  • Identifies needs and sets goals for own professional growth and development, meets all mandatory system/departmental educational requirements. Maintains knowledge of current clinical trends and developments as it relates to job scope.

  • Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental, and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

  Minimum Qualifications

  Education

  • Minimum - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as a Registered Nurse

  • Preferred - 4 Year / Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience

  Certifications and Licenses

  • Current MT license as a Registered Nurse – At hire (will also need Wyoming license or compact license)
