Position Title: Refugee Foster Care Therapist

　　Hiring Range: $31.00-$40.50/hr DOE

　　Primary Function of Position

　　The primary function of this position is to provide dedicated mental health services to refugee and immigrant foster youth and foster families. This role encompasses conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, delivering therapy (both individual and group), and offering critical crisis intervention when necessary.

　　Major Position Responsibilities

　　Therapeutic Connection: Establish and nurture therapeutic relationships with youth in the Refugee Foster Care program.Assessment Expertise: Conduct mental health assessments upon clients' arrival and every six months until discharge.Individual Therapy: Provide one-on-one therapy to youth, involving assessment, the creation of treatment goals, and meticulous documentation of progress.Group Facilitation: Facilitate group therapy sessions to address the unique needs of the youth.Family-Centered Care: Offer family therapy sessions, collaborating closely with foster families to ensure holistic well-being.Consultative Support: Provide consultative input concerning placement decisions and crisis intervention strategies, contributing to the welfare of the clients.Level of Care Guidance: Collaborate in determining the appropriate therapeutic level of care for foster families, optimizing the support provided.Continual Learning: Actively participate in internal and community-provided training programs, applying newly acquired knowledge to enhance service delivery.Team Engagement: Attend weekly staff meetings to contribute insights and align with program goals.On-Call Commitment: Maintain on-call readiness to address critical needs when necessary.Meticulous Documentation: Maintain thorough and compliant case files per all state and federal regulations.Additional duties as assigned.

　　Work Environment

　　Therapeutic services will be flexible to meet the youth's needs and may include time in the office, outside, or at the youth's home or school.

　　Physical Demands

　　The role requires sitting, standing, walking moderate distances, and driving.Occasional assistance with physical activities may be necessary, such as event setup for RFC events.

　　Education, Training, and Experience

　　Possession of a Master's degree in social work or counseling from an accredited university.Obtain LCSW Certification within two years of hire.Familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.Strongly preferred: Experience with teenagers, attachment, gender-based violence, and familiarity with the refugee and immigrant community.

　　Background Screening Requirement

　　Must pass a national BCI/FBI background check.

　　Licenses, certifications, and credentials

　　A current Utah driver's license and provide proof of auto insurance meeting minimum policy liability limits of $50,000 per person and $100,000 per incident. Additionally, be 21 years of age or older, maintain a clean driving record, and have the capacity to fulfill CCS vehicle safety standards.

　　Position status and expected schedule

　　Flexibility: This role can be held by either one full-time employee or two part-time employees.The standard schedule is 40 hours between Monday and Friday, between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM. Occasional weekend hours may be required for emergency response.
