Description

　　A large hospital system is in search of an experienced, efficient, and patient-oriented Referral Coordinator. This individual will play a key role in ensuring all referral procedures are processed accurately and swiftly while providing communication and support to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Coordinating, tracking, and processing all patient referrals within our healthcare network.

　　Using our EPIC electronic health record system to manage referrals, maintain patient data, and facilitate communication with medical professionals.

　　Collaborating with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure coordination of care.

　　Verifying patient insurance coverage, obtaining necessary authorizations and communicating with patients about their referral status.

　　Maintaining accurate and updated documentation of referral activities.

　　Adhering to all patient privacy regulations and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

　　Following up with providers and patients to assure services have been provided.

　　Requirements

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or equivalent.

　　1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

　　Proficiency in EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.

　　Excellent communication and customer service skills.

　　Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

　　Solid understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and patient scheduling.
