　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　As a Recreational Therapist in Behavioral Health at our facility you will be joining a team that has a passion for creating positive patient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellness of those we serve.

　　In this role:

　　You will develop and implement activities for patients to help foster self-awareness, increase social skills, and promote healthy creativity to effectively reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem, and manage behaviors.

　　You will be responsible for assessing patient needs and completing patient assessments.

　　You will plan and implement regular groups to meet the needs of patients.

　　You will evaluate and document treatment goals and outcomes related to groups and patient involvement.

　　You will assist in the supervision and mentoring of Recreational Therapy interns and new Recreational Therapists.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

　　Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

　　Drivers License

　　Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
