  Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities Manage the pool facility and overall aquatics program, to include the supervision, management, and administration of the Pool. Plans and implements the various phases and projects of the program and handles problems and deviations in accordance with standing instructions, and established procedures. Carry out program projects, primarily in program planning, staff training, and administrative duties and annual budget. Assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of recreation aids. Ensures the work is completed in compliance with established procedures and instructions. Trains new employees, instructs proper procedures and solves problems related to work. Makes reservations and collects fees. Manages and organizes special events. Supervises safety operations. Reports any requirements for maintenance, cleaning and/or repair to the Manager as required. Assumes operational duties in the absence of the Manager. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Must demonstrate a practical knowledge and experience in a variety of recreational activities. Must have knowledge of equipment, supplies and procedures in order to maintain efficient functioning of the operation. Must have the ability to work independently, exercising initiative and common sense in the performance of duties. Must be able to work irregular hours. Must possess or have the ability to obtain: CPR certification, Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification, Lifeguard Training certification, and Title 22 First Aid (all American Red Cross). Must possess or have the ability to obtain: Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO). Must have the ability to lift light to heavy weight items.
