About Recreation Assistant NF-02

  Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Community Recreation, Business Operations and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery. Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc. Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: Work experience dealing with the general public. Education Additional Information This vacancy is currently only filling positions at Outdoor Recreation, but should other vacancies arise, it may also be used to fill other Recreation Assistant positions within the Business Recreation Division. Area of Consideration: The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation and reside within the Local Commuting Area (defined as 100-mile radius) of Fort Drum, NY. Spouse Employment Preference (SEP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) are included in this area of consideration. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Night differential has been authorized by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bargaining NF positions and will be paid at the rate of basic pay plus an additional 10 percent of that rate for all regular scheduled work between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. (including periods of leave and holidays). The Employer will pay Sunday premium pay to regular pay band employees at the rate of 25% of the employee's basic rate of pay for all hours of a non-overtime tour of duty when any part of the scheduled tour is performed on Sunday (including periods of leave and holidays). Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances A nonforeign area allowance or differential is not granted to employees in payband levels NF-1 and NF-2 since their rates already are based on the prevailing rate Please check out our Applicant Information Kit: It contains additional information applicants may find useful when applying for our jobs.
