  POSITION SUMMARY:

  Ensure all production paperwork is completed, collected, organized, reviewed, and filed to the satisfaction of all pertinent regulatory agencies and customers.

  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Maintain a solid and up to date understanding of all regulatory issues pertaining to the completion, review, and filing of production paperwork;

  Maintain a solid and up to date understanding of all customer requirements and preferences pertaining to the completion, review, and filing of production paperwork;

  Collect all production paperwork, ensuring that any missing paperwork is located;

  Provide aggressive reporting and retraining for all incomplete, incorrect, or otherwise non-compliant paperwork;

  Organize paperwork per established filing systems;

  Review paperwork, ensuring that all process CCP’s, quality specifications, customer requirements and State Department of Public Health requirements (if applicable) have been met. Any product affected by deviations or missing records must be reported to QA Supervisor and placed on hold;

  Manage filing system such that all completed and reviewed records are maintained and accessible for the amount of time required by customers and regulatory agencies;

  Release product;

  Provide assistance/support as needed with customer, government, and third party audits (including USDA, FDA and State Dept of Public Health (of applicable);

  Maybe required to assist with tracking stock of laboratory supplies and placing orders to maintain stock;

  Provide aid/support to QA manager, may include filling in for QA Technicians as needed;

  General troubleshooting-formula related, ingredient related;

  Provide assistance in the investigation of consumer complaints and tracking of information;

  Assist with Oracle Applications;

  Review all incoming C of A’s to ensure compliance to LiDestri, customer and supplier specifications;

  Review of C of A’s in a timely manner to ensure product release to production supports the production schedule;

  Ensure approved C of A’s align with receipt of incoming raw materials and applicable packaging materials;

  Work with R&D to resolve all C of A and/or specification discrepancies;

  Approve C of A’s and maintain files;

  Complete data analysis as requested;

  Manage Sensory Analysis Program;

  Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

  REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  High School Diploma or GED;

  Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the quality field;

  Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots);

  Must possess proficient computer (Word & Excel, etc) and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning;

  Ability work independently and with various levels of personnel and departments;

  Must possess extreme attention to detail and the ability to remain organized.

  WORKING CONDITIONS:

  Constant exposure to extreme loud noises;

  Constant standing and moving by foot;

  Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather)environment;

  Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts;

  Frequent lifting/carrying <30 pounds, reaching and use of fingers;

  Frequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending;

  Occasionally lifting >50 pounds;

  Potential exposure to caustic chemicals.
