OhioMeansJobs Lake County is assisting a local library with their efforts for the following position:ReceptionistLocation: Painesville, OHPosition ID: 38132849Job Type: Part-time, 8-16 hours per weekShifts: 1st- 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.Wage: $17.50 an hourBenefits: NoneJob Summary: Under moderate supervision, assists Librarian with basic library operations such as greeting patrons, answering the telephone, checking email, faxing documents, enlarging documents with poster printer, assisting patrons with public computers, operating/maintaining photocopiers, printers, and fax machine. Also assists with handling money and check delivery to the Auditor's/Treasurer's office, collecting/sorting mail, data entry and basic filing duties when needed.Education: High School diploma or G.E.D required. Candidates with office and/or library experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability will be considered.Essential Job Functions:• Proficient in Windows Based Systems and MS Office software.• Ability to communicate with patrons and staff courteously and effectively (e.g. verbal, written, telephone).• Ability to provide knowledgeable customer service to assist library patrons in a timely manner.• Ability to read printed and on-screen information; Ability to input information into an automated system• Routine lifting of up to 20 pounds without assistance, sitting for long periods of time as well as frequent reaching, stooping and bending.• Assists patrons with borrowing Library equipment.• Assists with handling money, including organizing check and cash deposits, and collecting printer/fax charges and library late fees.• Assists with the sorting/collecting of incoming and outgoing mail.• Assists with checking law library email account.• Assists with the input of new materials/updates into library card catalog.
