GREENFIELD Receptionist POSITION SUMMARY: The Receptionist role is acrucial link between CHCFC patients and the care delivered by clinicalstaff at the health center. Receptionists are responsible for providingexceptional customer service. The receptionist\'s primary responsibilityis to ensure a positive patient experience during the face-to-faceinteraction that occurs with the check-in and check-out processes.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Greets patients and visitors in a professionaland welcoming manner Prepares and processes all required patientregistration information Responsible for checking patients in uponarrival, and checking patients out before they depart the Health Center.Schedules patient appointments and follow up treatment. Verifies medicaland dental insurance prior to each appointment. During phone volumesurges that outpace the Central Customer Service Department capacity,the receptionist also answers phone calls and retrieves messages from amulti-user queue in a professional and welcoming manner, and redirectscalls as needed Creates Good Faith Estimates for patients who areresponsible for the payment of fees for treatment. Accurately enters andupdates patient information in the Electronic Health Record, to includeinsurance, pharmacy, or patient demographic changes reported duringcheck-in or check-out. Reviews patient records four days prior to theirscheduled appointment for appropriate, accurate, and completedocumentation. Follows up on any missing, incomplete, or inaccurateinformation. Monitors reception and waiting areas to provide timelyupdates on appointment delays or patient concerns Records and processespatient payments through a third party payment system, and reconcilesall cash, credit, and check payments with system records at the end ofeach shift Adheres to CHCFC policies and procedures pertaining topatient care. Maintains HIPPA compliance for patient safety. Utilizesappropriate translation services, via telephone or in person, forpatients who require language interpretation. Facilitates communicationamong multiple workgroups within the Health Center and throughout thecommunity. Performs other related duties as required or assigned by theSite Lead. Requires travel to other CHCFC sites. Attendance required atany CHCFC site(s) as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Skills: Strong commitment to CHCFC Mission required. Stronginterpersonal and communication skills required. Knowledge of HIPAA,office operations, ability to navigate within an Electronic PatientRecord, and advanced computer operations preferred. Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent required; Associate\'s degree or advancedtraining in skills related to medical/dental office setting preferred.Experience: Ability to work with a diverse population and sensitivity tolow-income populations required. Medical or dental office experiencepreferred. Public health or Federally Qualified Health Center experiencepreferred. Bilingual/bicultural background preferred.
