　　Responsibilities

　　Take radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

　　• Prepare and position patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately.

　　• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

　　• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.

　　•Monitor protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.

　　• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

　　•Prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.

　　Requirements

　　Licensure/Certification/Registration:

　　• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

　　• Licensed Radiology Technician obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

　　• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

　　Education:

　　High School diploma required. Graduation from a JRCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology preferred. Bachelofs Degree preferred.Work Experience:

　　Previous work experience as an Imaging Tech preferred.Additional Preferences

　　ARRT and Wisconsin license required.
