Description
One of our clients is seeking a knowledgeable and organized real estate paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with real estate transactions, closings, and have proficiency in drafting necessary documents. They will also possess a keen attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and management of real estate closings, including reviewing and analyzing purchase agreements, leases, and property records.
Conduct title searches, surveys, and due diligence inquiries. Coordinate with title companies to obtain title commitments and property reports.
Draft legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, deeds, and mortgage documents.
Liaise with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties in real estate transactions.
Keep the legal team informed of progress on real estate transactions and prepare necessary updates.
Coordinate and assist in the adjustment of real estate taxes, utility bills and other charges required for settlement.
Maintain organized case files and assist in managing related databases.
Compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
Requirements
Requirements:
A paralegal certificate or a degree in law, paralegal studies or a related field.
Proven experience as a real estate paralegal in a law firm, title company, or in-house legal department.
Familiarity with legal software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic research.
Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of real estate law, procedures and protocols.
