About you and this role
At our European Production Site inTerneuzen,Netherlandswe currently have an opportunity for aSenior Research and Development Technicianin our Chemical Recycling Lab.
This position gives you a challenging opportunity to join the Polyurethanes (PU) Process R&D team which is focused on developing sustainable specialty polyols, formulations and technologies to serve our PU Global Business.
As Senior Research and Development Technician for Polyurethane Process R&D, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of chemical recycling experiments. You will be a fast learner, reliable, well organized with the ability to multi-task. The role is dynamic, and the candidate must be comfortable with tight timelines and be able to work independently and as part of a closely-knit team. The job entails the development of chemical recycling technologies of the future and, therefore, a hands-on approach to chemistry and processing equipment would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
Executing Design of Experiments (DoE) for PU Chemical Recycling
Work with lab owner to ensure highest standard of safety and quality.
Reporting of lab results in timely manner
Implement standard operating procedures for experimentation in collaboration with the engineers.
Equipment owner for lab equipment
Sample preparation for high-quality data generation in collaboration with Analytical Department
Qualifications
You have minimum a Vocational Degree (in Netherlands MBO-4 level), for example Middelbaar Laboratorium Onderwijs (MLO) qualification or similar with minimal 5 years of relevant working experience.
Ability to work independently and as a close-knit team.
Ability to successfully partner with team members from multiple backgrounds.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills
Prior lab experience would be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of the Dutch language would be preferred.
