Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking a RD Materials Scientist/Engineer for our Golden Valley, MN location.

Citizenship Required: United States Citizenship

Clearance Required: Yes; you must either currently have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

Conduct research and development activities in the field of materials science

Design and conduct experiments investigating key material properties and performance in processes / applications such as welding, brazing, soldering, plating, joinery, interfaces, metal additive manufacturing.

Analyze data and present findings to internal and external stakeholders

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technology advancements

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as material science, engineering, physics, chemistry, are related field

Minimum 2 years combined experience in one or more of the following: metallurgical science, welding or brazing applications, additive manufacturing, surface characterization or modification

Strong background in materials characterization techniques and analysis

U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance

WE VALUE:

We value candidates who may have one or more of the following skills:

Advanced or specialized degree in Materials Science, Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or similar

Understanding of experimental design and principles of failure analysis

Experience with materials surface or interface analysis

Knowledge of advanced materials characterization methods

Excellent communication skills (written and oral), organizational skills and analytical skills
