As a Radio Frequency Engineer you will work with a team of professionals who are responsible for designing, implementing, and administering security systems for the safety of the United States.
Education and Experience:
BS Engineering (Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
7 years of professional, hands-on Engineering experience in RF, analog and digital system level troubleshooting, and equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair.
Technical Security training is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Provide a broad range of support to various organizations of the US Government.
Duties include assisting with the design, modification, operation, maintenance, and support of complex computerized electronic and RF (radio frequency) receiver equipment and systems.
Performs directly or oversees researching, selecting, installing, testing and/or development of RF components as antennas, cables, switches, down converters, etc. and systems mainly for Technical Surveillance Countermeasures purposes.
Applying various methods of modulation and utilizing different types of test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
Assists to resolve difficult and complex Technical Security problems, both independently and as part of a TSCM team.
Qualifications:
Clearance Required: US Department of Defense (DOD) issued TS/SCI clearance and able to obtain a US Department of Energy (DOE) Q Clearance, or an active DOE Q Clearance
Must be knowledgeable in the following:
Common antennas and RF cable designs and their characteristics
Harmonics
3d order intercept point
Comb generators
Receiver sensitivity and selectivity
Analog and digital modulation techniques
Intermodulation
Programming test and measurement equipment via a computer interface
System engineering, including interconnecting and configuring various pieces of test and measurement equipment directly and over a network.
Project engineering, including developing goals and milestones, monitoring progress, quality control, developing bills of material (BOM), and estimating labor requirements.
