　　Summary Of Job Duties

　　Academic Advising to include the following:

　　a. Provide academic and career advising to current, new, and transferstudents throughout the year

　　b. Provide career exploration activities

　　c. Participate in New Student Orientation activities to assist studentsin registration

　　d. Provide holistic advising services to students within the advisorscaseload

　　e. Assist undecided students to select a major and map a plan to degreecompletion

　　f. Help students examine interests and abilities, connecting to careerchoices

　　g. Assist students with resources and activities for job preparationand job seeking

　　2. Interpret and articulate test scores, prior college credits, andrequired developmental courses for desired degree.

　　3. Assist students with access to other campus services and resourcesto include but not limited to counseling, disability services and/ortutoring.

　　4. Demonstrate the ability to develop and provide programs andactivities to engage students; thereby increasing student retention andpersistence.

　　5. Provide intervention and support for students on Academic Probationand Suspension, as well as Financial Aid Warning and Suspension toincrease retention and completion.

　　6. Participate in development and delivery of training for part-timeadvisors and faculty advisors.

　　7. Other duties as assigned
