Responsibilities

Internship Overview : This internship opportunity introduces graduate students to opportunities in quantum information science and enables them to conduct research using advanced quantum computing platforms. Interns will gain valuable experience working in teams, undertaking projects in advanced computing, and developing quantum and classical methods to solve problems in important application or fundamental domains. The internship will integrate the candidate's understanding quantum algorithms and hardware, strengthen their research skills, increase their collaboration with Noblis SMEs, and allow to co-publish papers in conferences and journals.

Project Description: This internship provides the opportunity for graduate students to conduct research in quantum information science by applying theoretical knowledge to real world applications. Interns will gain valuable experience through mentoring by subject matter experts, undertaking projects in advanced computing, and developing quantum and classical methods to solve problems in important application areas/fundamental domains. Publication of results in a major journal is encouraged.

Required Qualifications

Enrolled in a PhD program in the US

Pursuing PhD in quantum information processing and quantum networking.

Experience leading research projects with first-author submissions to conferences and journals

10% travel may be offered for relevant conferences

US Citizenship required

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $23.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
