Description of Job: The QC Technician will support the quality functions for Mycorrhizal Applications, LLC focusing on quality compliance. The primary function will be conducting quality inspections on products and ingredients used by, and manufactured at, Mycorrhizal Applications, LLC. The Quality Compliance Technician interacts across multiple MA departments, as well as interacts with other Valent Group Company teams.
Principal Responsibilities:
Supports MA Quality Compliance (QC) team with laboratory sample preparation, analysis, and data reporting.
Provide QC analysis for Finished Goods (FG) and Raw Materials (RM) used in MA products.
Support QC in reviewing new formulations and new materials used in and for manufacturing MA products.
Prepare and Conduct QC experiments on FG and RM.
Record and report completed analysis data into QC reporting databases.
Support the QC group in meeting maximum customer satisfaction for FG products.
Acquire and maintain required lab tests, and efficacy studies through third party labs and affiliates, to support Regulatory and QC groups.
Support the MA QC program to increase the number of QC inspections on both FG and RM materials.
Supports QC and Regulatory team for corrective/preventative action projects and supports teams on conducting audits.
Education/Experience: BS in Soil Biology, Mycology, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field with 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
Travel: Domestic/International Travel: 5%
