Quality Technician Location: NEW ULM, MN, United States Job Family : Manufacturing Job Type : Regular Posted : Dec 22, 2023 Job ID: 45502 Job Description Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Review and interpret product/process drawings, specifications, and other applicable work instructions to determine requirements. * Determine quality level of product and processes by inspecting, testing, evaluating data; judging acceptability to requirements; and reporting results in a meaningful manner. * Perform investigations on quality problems found in product and materials through the performance of inspections, tests, and analysis and interfaces with other functional groups to solve/prevent problems. * Verify product conformity utilizing various inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, plug/thread gages, etc). * Perform product specific quality planning, process/procedure auditing, and investigates discrepancies. May include developing inspection checklists and gage listings. * Provide support for manufacturing in applying quality control techniques. * Coordinate external third party measurement analysis vendors. * Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives. * Perform AS9000 Contract Reviews, Source Inspections and Quality Audits. * Perform First Article Inspections on Aerospace and Custom Proto release products * High school diploma or equivalent. * Skills & knowledge normally acquired through a minimum of 4 years of relevant job experience related to quality assurance. * A two-year technical college certificate preferred. * Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, plug/thread gages, etc equipment to verify product conformity. * Familiarity with ISO and AS Quality Management Systems.
