You will be primarily responsible for product quality at the point of manufacture (prior to finishing) and receiving inspection of critically identified supplies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Problem-solve at the point of manufacturing to reduce the frequency or elimination of nonconformances.
Problem-solve at Gemba and teach problem solving and process control thru example, mentoring, and conventional teaching methods.
Identify manufacturing issues related to quality and work with production/engineering as necessary to resolve the issues.
Identify training opportunities with production staff regarding measurement techniques and/or production techniques relating to quality and safety.
Identify areas of improvement in manufacturing for sustainable processes/procedures to improve product quality to minimize both internal and external quality defects.
Perform audits on programs and procedures for all levels of audit activity (i.e. production audits, process audits, system audits and supplier audits).
Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of in-process components and materials.
Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data.
Calibrate, validate, or maintain inspection equipment.
Perform dimensional and visual inspections of finished products.
Perform incoming (receiving) inspection.
Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions as early as possible.
Identify the root cause of manufacturing issues.
Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the product.
Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies while working with team leads and engineering to identify Critical to Quality features.
Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day.

The base compensation range for this position is $21.78/hour to $29.30/hour. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
