job summary:
A Quality Technician is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Garden Grove, CA area. This role involves precise inspections, blueprint interpretation, and compliance in a regulated industry, with additional responsibilities for documentation, audits, and cleanroom tasks.

responsibilities:
Perform inspection tasks including receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection (visual and dimensional).
Read and interpret blueprint drawings and customer specifications.
Use handheld measuring instruments and precision measurement equipment.
Data entry, scanning of documentation, and general document control.
Conduct Product Audits on final packaged products and associated documentation.
Write Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming products.
Calibration activities.
Create inspection reports.
Skills:
Ability to use handheld gauges and other measurement devices safely and appropriately.
Must demonstrate knowledge of inspection techniques and familiarity with sampling plans.
Demonstrates proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings and customer specifications.
Ability to read, understand, translate and clearly communicate customer requirements both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to multi-task and work in a face-paced environment
Basic computer proficiency in MS Word/Excel and good math skills.
strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Packaging Support:
Unpackage individual seals.
Segregate desiccant for re-use.
Determine reusability of humidity indicator cards.
Distribute parts to inspectors.
Dispose of packaging that cannot be re-used.
Assist in segregating and identifying rejected parts.
Assist in packaging accepted parts after inspection.
Coordinate with Project Coordinator to schedule orders for inspection.
Quality Inspectors:
Follow cleanroom rework router for rinsing and wiping inspected seals with IPA.
Assist in packaging seals that passed inspection.
Inspect packaged seals under UV light for FOD.
Verify cleanroom labels, certs, and packaging.
Complete Cleanroom rework router for each order inspected.
Clearly mark the label of each good part to indicate it passed inspection.
Document and segregate rejected parts as needed.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years previous work experience in a Quality or Production role, performing inspections and using gauges.
Minimum of 2 years previous work experience in a regulated industry (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device)
