Role Summary
The Quality Manager based in our state of the art manufacturing facility based in Ansty Park, Coventry is responsible for the leadership and management for the Quality function, sustaining the Parker-Meggitt Quality philosophy and implementation of Parker Lean System (PLS) for the Division at plant level. This position is part of the site leadership team and will be accountable for establishing, maintaining, and optimising an effective Quality Management System (QMS), implementing the Braking Systems Division Quality plan at the site to achieve the Division’s overall quality objectives. This role is responsible for enhancing and the Division’s products and services through implementation of AS9100/AS9110, problem solving tools, prevention methods, and continuous improvement techniques.
Core Responsibilities
Communicates Customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance, and Customer satisfaction
Oversees effective documentation and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) to assure compliance with Customer and regulatory requirements
Works with the leadership team to ensure that functions effecting quality are trained and aware of quality principles
Coordinates necessary plant personnel for internal, Customer, and third-party quality system audits
Implements the performance measurements to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, Customer satisfaction, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ); Uses results of performance evaluation to target improvement efforts.
Assess Supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired levels of performance; utilize performance measures to target improvement efforts.
Skills, Knowledge & Attributes
Degree in an Engineering or related discipline.
Thorough knowledge of Aerospace Standards AS9100/AS9110, etc. as well as FAA\EASA\CAAC Part 21 and 145 regulations.
Experience in Operational Quality Management.
Experience leading quality role as Quality Manager; trained auditor & AS9100 Lead Auditor Approved
Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable experience expected, Black Belt a plus
Knowledge of different, relevant methods, techniques and tools in the field of quality such as Aerospace or Automotive Core Tools expected (DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D, etc.)
Experience in project and change management
Demonstrated leadership for Quality, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills
Ability to inspire others, shape a culture and infuse a passion for new ideas and doing things differently; a catalyst to get things done.
Ability to collaborate, build relationships across all levels within the organization to drive results.
