About Quality Improvement Manager

  The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within theMontana State Hospital. The Montana State Hospital (MSH) in Warm Springs provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. MSH is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana that serves people admitted from communities across the state. This position serves as a part of the senior management team with responsibility for compliance with healthcare standards, and quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities throughout Montana State Hospital. In addition, the position provides direct oversight for all culinary / dietary activities to ensure compliance with all regulatory and health requirements. In addition, DPHHS is the largest state agency with a wide range of advancement opportunities whether you are joining the workforce or have several years of experience. / / Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic legal process. * Ability to research, compile, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify and resolve a wide variety of issues and problems. * Skill developing training program content, materials, and learning aids. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. * Ability to stay up to date with current regulatory trends and ability to apply those trends to hospital QAPI programs. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor's degree in quality assurance or a related field o Five years progressive experience in quality improvement o Three years' experience directing or managing a quality improvement or QAPI program. o Three years supervision preferred. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
