The right time is now to come join us as we grow and expand to meet our customers' needs.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesInspects, audits, and tests prototype, supplier, and production parts and completed products or processes for compliance with specifications and standards.Conducts inspection, audits, and reporting of non-compliance at all stages of production including, but not limited to prototype, pre-production, all assembly stages, and completed units for products and processes.Provides knowledge and application of standards for quality, engineering, and manufacturing.Provides daily coordination of assigned area, including training and mentoring of others.May focus in all or some of the following areas such as incoming materials, design, process control, research and development, product overall reliability, warranty, or other phase of production where quality reviews are involved:Manufacturing Support: Responds to concerns identified on the manufacturing line, including assembly, weld, paint, and fabrication. Works with cross functional team to identify root cause and corrective action to remedy the situation.Supplier Quality Technician: Works with supply base and monitors production issues relating to supplied components.Calibration/Measurement Technician: Oversees adherence to measurement and tool control plan, including performing gage R&R studies.First Article Inspection: Responsible for verifying new parts due to supplier changes, process changes, and material changes. Also performs capability studies when necessary.Quality Systems: Interprets standards and applies them to a production environment. Responsible for authoring audit sheets, gap analysis, and recommending corrective action.Utilizes control charts and other quality tools to make improvement decisions.Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas to determine quality and reliability standards.Inspects and tests components, parts, and assembled products for workmanship, compliance with specifications and regulatory standards. Employs techniques such as electronic and conventional measurement, observation, functional tests, and destructive tests.Conducts non-destructive tests of welding, fastened joints, and hydraulic oil.Evaluates data and writes modifications of existing quality or production standards to maximize quality within limits of machine capability and cost.Confers with Design Engineers and Manufacturing to identify, diagnose, and resolve non-conforming quality problems including those associated with parts, components, or the manufacturing process.Records results of individual observations at all stages of production using printed graphic and written forms, electronic data gathering equipment, and computerized data entry.
