Quality Engineer II

　　Responsibilities

　　Provide process efficiency, suitability analysis, and input to manufacturing engineering and production management. Use the Warranty and NCP system for review and management of defective product. Support production process creation efforts in areas requiring quality control applications. Support the use of statistics for product improvement and process control (CP, Cpk). Drive corrective actions on major quality issues, providing data and Pareto analysis of problem parts and processes.

　　Provide product reliability, design, and critical feature analysis input to product teams. Participate in product development team efforts on areas involving product quality assurance support.

　　Provide method design and impact analysis input to manufacturing engineering and production management.

　　Provide ongoing product, process, equipment and method creation/revision input to owners of quality management system element for inclusion in system documentation.

　　This position is cross-functional and will support new product development, current product warranty initiatives, and special projects.

　　Qualifications

　　This position requires a four-year college degree plus 5 years’ relevant experience. ASQ (or equivalent). Certified Quality Engineer certification and Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.

　　Excellent Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills are needed for this position. Knowledge of Miscrosoft Access is desired.

　　Knowledge of quality tools and techniques, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory, and statistical process control are required.

　　The incumbent should have good communication skills, the ability to work effectively with people and the personal drive/sense of urgency necessary to provide needed support in the timeframes demanded.

　　This position requires an individual with the flexibility to commute to and work at various Company locations (New Bremen, New Knoxville, Ft. Loramie, etc.)
