  Job Summary and Qualifications

  Understands and applies rules and regulations for quality measure compliance with data specifications and publicly reported data, i.e., CMS, Leapfrog, TJC, Disease Specific Registries, etc. Participates in efforts to establish and maintain organizational readiness to meet regulatory requirements

  Through access of internal and external dashboards, analyzes data/quality measures for identification of trends and opportunities for improvement in alignment with evidenced based practice.

  Collaborates with stakeholders to recommend and implement compliance strategies with evidenced based practice for optimal patient outcomes.

  Creates and presents data in verbal and visual formats to key stakeholders.

  Facilitates teams through process improvement projects while monitoring plans for milestone achievements and sustainability.

  Collaborates with Patient Safety on the investigation and assists in preparing the response for quality of care issues, complaints, patient safety events or other clinical chart reviews for internal or external requests.

  Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite for day-to-day work functions. Must be familiar with excel, pivot tables and data visualization.

  What qualifications you will need:

  Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related degree required.

  Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience working in a complex healthcare environment.

  Knowledge of regulatory/certification requirements, quality/process improvement methodology, data collection and analysis.

  Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).

  Preferred: Service line/disease specific experience

  Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:

  Required: If RN, must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Texas Licensing Board. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required within 24 months of hire.

  Preferred: Registered Nurse with current license in the state of Texas. Service line/disease specific certification.
