Purpose:
Performs internal audits used to obtain process conformance and performance feedback. The quality auditor plays a vital role within the quality management system by obtaining and documenting the results of audits that are used by the management team to monitor the status of the quality management system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of audits to include process based, ISO systems, performance work statement conformance, and special audits as required. Responsible for the entire audit process consisting of review of audit criteria, development of audit plans and checklists, performance of audit with process owners and other stakeholders, analysis of audit results, and development of audit reports consisting of audit findings and recommendations for improvement. Act as point of contact for action items related to audit discrepancies or other process related activities. Makes recommendations for corrective and preventive actions plans. Provide guidance for ISO compliance (ISO 9001:2015). Supports departments/sections as they achieve and sustain ISO 9001 standards through auditing
processes and departments.
A quality “champion” by promoting, teaching, and presenting quality as a means for product
improvement and efficiency.
Assists Quality and Contracting Management and personnel to develop a surveillance program that produces effective feedback to the various work sites within this contract. Assists the Quality Management personnel in the application of statistical process controls. Conducts quality assurance checks, including but not limited to supply and property processes (MOS 92A/92Y), materiel maintenance processes (MOS 91 series) and logistics and transportation processes (MOS 88M). Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and supports the APS-2 Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a Safety-First mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the Amentum Quality
Management System.
Routine status reporting and staff leadership meeting attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
College Degree is highly desirable.
Experience:
3-5 years direct experience as a quality auditor on a related program is required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in either maintenance, logistics, transportation, supply, or property
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated understanding of basic auditing techniques and quality principles.
Recommended training: ISO quality standard training Amentum.
Knowledge of Quality Management System and initiatives required.
Must have excellent and effective presentation skills.

Must be able to speak the English language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to
participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social and professional topics. Must be able to read standard newspaper items addressed to the general reader, routine correspondence, reports and technical manuals in the individual’s special field
Certification & License:
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification is preferred.
American Society of Quality Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
