  Job Title: Quality Assurance SpecialistFLSA Status: Full Time - non-exemptReports to: Monitoring & Evaluation ManagerSchedule: FT, 8am-4:30pmSupervises: N/ARate of Pay: $25.32-$26.59/hourBenefits: Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for butnot limited to the following:Health, vision, dental, life as well as voluntary life and disabilityinsuranceSick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual andavailability begins at hire)Vacation benefit - 10 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0385hours for each hour worked, excluding overtime (accrual begins at hire butmay not be used until the completion of six months of employment)One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually,but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-monthintroductory period of employment)Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service)Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan (403(b)plan)To be considered for this position, please apply no later than 10/27/23Function: The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuringthe accuracy, integrity, and quality of data collected and reported by theDenver Metro Social Services (DMSS) team. DMSS is made up of The SalvationArmy's social service programs located within the Denver Metro, sevencounty geographic area. Program areas include family and individual congregateand non-congregate sheltering, homelessness resolution services includingrapid rehousing, eviction prevention, homelessness prevention, crisisstabilization and assessment. Other supportive services include housingfocused case management, housing navigation, crisis line support,non-commercial mass catering, and employment services.This position supports the mission, purposes, and goals of The SalvationArmy through the implementation and usage of Homeless Management InformationSystem (HMIS) in accordance with federal and community guidelines toensure performance and contract compliance.Primary responsibilities of this position include (1) oversight andsupport of HMIS use and (2) contribution to the maintenance of dataquality assurance, contract compliance, and performance evaluation tosupport the Monitoring & Evaluation team's mission of improving DMSSsocial service programs and their impact.Duties and Responsibilities:

  A. HMIS System Oversight and SupportProvide technical assistance (group and individual user consultation) anddata entry oversight to HMIS end users to enhance data quality and programperformance.Collaborate and coordinate with program staff on HMIS program set up, dataentry, analysis, and reporting.Promote the use of HMIS and reporting accountability throughout DMSS.Collaborate with Monitoring & Evaluation Manager and DMSS programs to createand update processes and policy & procedure documents related to HMIS anddata collection, quality, and reporting.Assess system and training needs of social services personnel in programsthrough interaction, periodic surveys, and other assessment tools.Design and provide training to address identified needs.Assist with dissemination of information on available training opportunities.Support Denver Metro Social Service programs with troubleshooting statisticaldiscrepancies.B. Data Analysis, Reporting, and Quality AssuranceProvide data processing and entry into the HMIS system for various grantfunded programs, including those funded by all levels of government agenciesand private funders.Coordinate with the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative (MDHI) team todevelop custom HMIS reports for identified reporting needs within DMSS.Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality standards andprotocols.Conduct regular data audits to identify and rectify inaccuracies,inconsistencies, or incompliance with contractual requirements.Collaborate with team members to mprove data collection and entry processes.Ensure data security and privacy compliance according to federal, state,and local regulations.Collect, analyze, and interpret DMSS program data to assess effectiveness.Collaborate with supervision and team to evaluate program performance andcreate reports and presentations that communicate findings.C. Documentation and CommunicationMaintain accurate records of DMSS data quality assessments, complianceactivities, and evaluations.Prepare clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders.Present findings and recommendations in a professional and clear manner.Collaborate with program managers, grant writers, and external partners asneeded.

  Qualification and Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience evaluated and acceptedon a case-by-case basis.GED or equivalent required.Minimum of one year of experience with data entry using data analysis toolssuch as Microsoft Excel, or other statistical software is required.Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, preferred.Experience designing and implementing data quality assurance processes.Familiarity with data quality frameworks and best practices is valuable.Excellent report writing skills to communicate findings effectively to diverseaudiences. Experience in preparing detailed compliance reports and evaluationreports.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, andcoordinate with various team members and external partners.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software and...
