Purpose
Interfaces and acts as a liaison between Manufacturing and Quality atthe Divisional Level using multidisciplinary manufacturing knowledge.Communicates and resolves Quality related issues in a fast pacedmanufacturing environment. Supports the Quality and Manufacturingfunctions by educating employees on quality systems, quality metrics,and customer engineering. Develops and empowers Quality personnel whileimproving Manufacturing and Quality relationships. Is a leader withinthe department holding employees accountable for business ethics anddaily performance.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management or related fieldor equivalent work experience in the preferably in the AerospaceIndustry
Minimum of 3 years of knowledge and experience in the Quality Assurancefield
Position Responsibilities
Oversee the Quality department to ensure delivery of high qualityproducts that meet the customers needs
Provide training, learning and development where appropriate for allemployees
Provide training as required in the quality system concepts, audittechniques, approaches corrective/preventative actions and continuousimprovement activities.
Partner with other departments to ensure the adherence to the QualityManagement System and other compliance requirements.
Collaborates with operations, leaders, purchasing, customer service andothers to efficiently meet customer demand.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact and dealwith internal and external customers
Supports all regulatory and customer quality audits
Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.
Provide visibility to management of potential quality issues, as well asinput on internal perceptions associated with Quality and Deliveryperformance.
Works with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance personnel to perform inprocess review and assure best practices are followed.
Review applicable organizational policies and procedures, ensuringaccuracy and relevance, communicating policy and procedure updates andchanges
Performs other related duties, as required
Tasks
Has the capability to troubleshoot complex and questionable inspectionsby asking the right questions to get to the root cause of the problem
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities andshifting time requirements.
Makes decisions based on customer/regulatory requirements
Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group environments
Confer with organizational team members at all levels to discuss issues,coordinate activities or resolve problems.
Implement corrective actions to address organizational or departmentalissues.
Must be an engaged leader with a hands on approach to qualityimprovement
Act as liaison between organization and outside organizations.
Fully understanding the financial impact of decisions made on a dailybasis, including closely monitored non-value added cost in an effort toreduce or eliminate.
Work closely with shop floor supervision and employees
Analyze customer miss-deliveries in order to propose improvement actionplans: Define and optimize data gathering and exchange to ensure dataintegrity in systems.
Assess and report project opportunities, risks and potential solutions.
Conducts classroom training incl ding new hire training, COV trainingand other relevant training courses as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hires and trains front-line employees.
Organizes, directs, and oversees the schedules and work of front-lineemployees.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance withcompany policy.
Works with department leaders to monitor each department and makerecommendations to improve performance that impacts the organization
