Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2214000 and is part of the TN 118th WING, National Guard. This vacancy is not eligible for membership to a labor organization. Responsibilities As a QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST, GS-0501-11 (TITLE 32), you will provide administrative oversight of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program. Independently conduct various reviews to assess organizational performance. Review retrieval data provided by the local systems branch to screen for any unauthorized access level or dual access between the payable systems and the general accounting system. Based on general supervisory guidance, review and coordinate, with management and affected supervisors, new or modified applications affecting automated systems. Gather data, track discrepancies, prepares trend charts, and facilitates discussions with personnel at financial or QA meetings. Ensures all open discrepancies are consistently and aggressively addressed and resolved through completion. Cross-feed various reports and bulletins, on a routine basis, through various electronic communications such as, emails and websites throughout the Wing financial management community. Facilitate monthly QA meetings and prepares minutes. Based on study results, determines need for refresher and supplementary training. Develops, schedules, and conducts training. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-4 THROUGH E-6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material. Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings; Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year experience at the next lower GS level or 36 months experience managing administrative fiscal, financial management, accounting or budgetary nature; providing analytical reasoning in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of financial issues and developing alternative solutions. Competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through academic education or progressively responsible experiences; knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, precedents, methods and techniques of budgeting; competencies in self-management, resilience, teamwork, attention to details, creative thinking, integrity, honesty, and positive customer service skills. Knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignments.
