We support individuals who are developmentally disabled, mentally ill, blind, deaf or hard of hearing. __ _About the Role_: The QualityAssurance Analyst will join EOHHS-IT/DTA’s enterprise development team to support the Department of Transitional Assistance’s enterprise eligibility determination and case management solution called Benefit Eligibility and Control On-line Network (BEACON). The Quality Assurance Analyst performs system verification/validation to assure product quality and certify the final product before it is released to production. The Quality Assurance Analyst must be able to document test cases and test plans, perform test case execution (manual as well as automated), manage project bugs, report on bug remediation and work closely with project team and project management to achieve the organization’s objectives. The EHS-IT team supporting the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EHS) is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst. The person hired for this positionThe Quality Assurance Analyst should have system verification/validation experience to assure product quality and certify the final product before it is released to production.DTA’s enterprise eligibility determination and case management solution, Benefit Eligibility and Control On-line Network (BEACON), is built on a complex architectural framework. The person hired will be working closely with and will be reporting directly to the BEACON Quality Assurance Team Lead as well as working with broader EHS/IT teams supporting DTA. The primary work location for this role will be at 600 Washington St, Boston, Massachusetts 02210. The work schedule for this position isMonday thru Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM EST. // _Duties & Responsibilities_: * * Factor lessons learned into processes, templates, behavior management and improvement initiative. Provide required guidance to the quality assurance team and track the deliverables by driving the team effectively. * Design detailed and comprehensive test plans, test artifacts, and document all phases of the quality assurance process by analyzing system design documents, business requirement documents, and other project artifacts. * Prepare quality assurance documents according to by standards set by the EOHHS PMO, Application Security, SQA COE, and Business Operations, Adhere to EOHHS Security and Privacy Controls, including HIPAA, NIST 800-53. * Perform root cause analysis and prioritize issues as required to ensure future actions, and work with the project team for appropriate resolution and verification. * Conduct feasibility study to select a suitable automation tool and required add-ons by analyzing technical challenges. Do a proof of concept to estimate, prioritize automation activities to script functional and regression test cases. * Develop hybrid and data driven automation frameworks with selenium webdriver using JAVA, TestNG using Page Object Model (POM). * Support user acceptance testing and release management activities with business users and IT team members. * Integrate with existing CI/CD pipeline on project delivery. * Continuously develop and enhance automated test suites to improve efficiency. * Understand data requirements as they relate to enhancing/changing the business process or system. * Factor lessons learned into process, templates, behavior management & improvement initiatives. Provide required guidance to the quality assurance team and track the deliverables by driving the team effectively. *_Preferred Qualifications_: * Experience working with JIRA and TestRail. * Use database querying tools (e.g. Oracle TOAD) to run queries for data validation and meet agency’s reporting needs. Working knowledge of SQL. * Ability to efficiently work on multiple assignments simultaneously by prioritizing the daily work efforts. * Expertise in Agile testing methodologies. * Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. * Excellent communication skills. _Education and Certifications_: * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent Software Quality Assurance work experience. * Software Quality Assurance related certification preferred. _Pre-Offer Process:_ A criminal background check will be completed on the recommended candidate as required by the regulations set forth by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services prior to the candidate being hired.
