　　In this role you will be responsible for the design of, and be a key contributor to, the product concepts and solutions to develop and grow the QNX portfolio. You will be part of the team that understands and plans for future technology trends, as well as the initial development of the product concept (following all product development processes). You will own all aspects from architecture, design, infrastructure costs, tech stack, scalability, reliability, availability and performance to software quality.

　　You will:

　　Design and complete development plans and strategies relating to key technology trends whilst ensuring the quality of the software deliveredLead architecture and strategy sessions with our technology partnersProvide design input into future products and solutionsDefine and design documentation and other artifacts as they relate to development processes (safety scope etc.)Deliver key advancements to the wider BlackBerry QNX software portfolio, contributing to architectural blueprints and designDesign and develop integration strategies for infrastructureDesign and implement automation strategies for the entire software lifecycle (develop/test/deploy/update)Implement appropriate security models and strategySupport Product Management organization in business modeling and licensing strategies as well as positioning of new product concepts into the wider QNX portfolioYou will have:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Engineering related field, or equivalent practical experienceSignificant experience in Unix internals and embedded development experience using C, C++ and assembling languageSome experience in a technical leadership role; leading all aspects of strategic projects as an individual contributorExpertise in developing for multiple OS architectures (Linux and QNX are a plus) and/or cross platform development experienceExperience in embedded systems on major processor architectures (ARM, x86, PPC, etc.)Experience with all the aspects of modern DevOps based development and practices like automate deployment processes and adequate test coverage by utilizing test frameworksA proven track record in translating sophisticated business requirements into software design, system specifications, standards, and programmingStrong analytical skills, software debugging skills and resolution skills with tools and techniques to do root cause analysis and ability to come up with great solutions in complex business situationsExcellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with a diverse, global set of internal and external collaboratorsA positive mentality, challenging self and team, open to giving and receiving feedbackIt would be great if you have any of the following:

　　Hands on experience in the development of software following either safety standards (ISO26262, IEC61508 etc.) or MIL standards would be a standout skillExperience with cloud native architecture is a plusImagine what you could do at QNX!
