JobSummaryIncumbents manage and coordinate warehouse and purchasing functions and maintain assigned facilities and grounds. Responsibilities may include reviewing inventories to determine materials needed; preparing and analyzing bids; recommending suppliers; issuing purchase orders; preparing specifications; and soliciting bids and quotes; developing and maintaining purchasing procedures; coordinating building and grounds maintenance and repair activities; and supervising lower level staff.
EssentialDutiesandResponsibilitiesSupervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; training staff; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.Coordinates and manages purchasing operations which includes monitoring and approving requisitions for purchases from all departments; disposing of surplus property; committing CDE funds to contracts; and performing related duties.Participates in bidding activities and processes, from concept through award, which includes: preparing RFPs; opening, tabulating, and reviewing bids; issuing purchase orders; researching and selecting vendors; and/or performing related activities.Overseeing facility management of buildings and grounds for landscaping maintenance and building maintenance, in compliance with applicable regulations and laws.Ensures operational compliance with applicable regulations and organizationalPrepares and manages a budget; forecasts staffing, equipment, and material expenses for budget planning; monitors and controls expenditures and adjusts budget items as neededPerforms other duties as assigned of a similar nature or to assist asneededQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a RelatedField
