Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Purchasing Assistant. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required for this Purchasing Assistant position. The Purchasing Assistant will ideally have previous purchasing or procurement experience and a desire to advance their career. Are you looking to start your career in procurement? 　　Responsibilities

　　Document records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments

　　Develop and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)

　　Request cost proposals, negotiating contracts and prices

　　Research supplier profiles and analyze offers

　　Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts

　　Research suppliers, goods, and services, and compare options

　　Monitor inventory levels and determine purchase needs

　　Process and prepare purchase orders Requirements - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

　　A minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent1+ year working in a professional setting

　　Ability to provide exemplary customer service while working with vendors and suppliers
